Make your hose last longer

Post by TurboSleeper » Mon Oct 16, 2006 3:45 pm

Hi All

I just bought a second machine for travel, the Respironics M auto. It came with a little swivel connector for the hose so I tried it on my Respironics auto that I use every night at home. This works great and prevents the hose flexing right at the connector. This flexing is the most common cause of hose failure. I looked around on the cpap.com site and found it as a replacement part under misc. It cost under $6 so I ordered a couple. This should work on just about any machine and will save your hose.

I also have not found any negitives with the "M". It is as quiet as my auto and seems to work fine. I like the data readout on the display with your 7 day and 30 day adveradges. I can pack the machine/humidifier, power supply, hose with snuggle cover, swift mask and a 20 oz bottle of distilled watter into the supplied bag and it seems lighter and smaller than my other machine when packed into its case.
