I was able to resolve this by tightening the bottom strap & tucking the chin flap further below my chin. I also slightly loosened the top strap so that the head rest is no longer against my forehead & the top seal is just tight enough against my nose to make a seal. The mask at this point is not parallel to the face but slightly angled towards my feet. It actually works better this way for me - maybe it's my face structure.
It would be a perfect mask for me if F&P would make an adjustable headrest similar to ultra mirage that would allow the mask to be set at different angles without strictly using the straps.
Actually, your experience is exactly like mine. I ended up with the head rest about a half inch away from my forehead. That's the only way I can come close to a good seal. An adjustable bridge like is used on the UMFF and the ComfortFull would be a major improvement.

In the meantime, the struggle continues.

OCO,

I haven't used the 432, but I had the same chin leak issue with my 431 at first. I resolved it by running a 1" wide velcro strap under the mask frame at the chin cup and routing it through the glider strap on each side. This strap is then fastened at the back of my head. Chin leaks are gone and, for me at least, this set up is pretty comfortable. I too find that the headrest does not contact my forehead. From some of the posts I've read; maybe that's a good thing.

Thanks, Brian. I'll give that a try shortly. Actually, this afternoon I tried several adjustments with the straps that SEEMED to stop the leaks for now, without making my head feel like a grape in a winepress. I'll see whether it actually works tonight.

As I read the directions for fitting on the 431, it would appear that the mask can rock. They say: leaks at top, tighten top OR loosen bottom; leaks at bottom, tighten bottom OR loosen top.
After shuffling mine several times and listening to it either hiss or fart, I found the addition of a small double piece of moleskin at the top edge of the nosepiece (on the hard plastic, not the cushion) gave me a good fit on the seal. Specifically, it kept the mask from blowing into the corner of my eyes.
FWIW this is the first mask I've tried that doesn't have to be cinched down to my head -- what he said, like a grape in a wine press -- to seal with 15 cm pressure.
I like that!
