Better Head Gear for Comfort Full

Post by Krelvin » Sun Oct 15, 2006 5:33 pm

The comfort Full cpap mask works great for me, with one slight complaint.

The head gear uses narrow straps which can late in the night start to dig into the back of your neck.

We recently had a relative visit who said they got a replacement head gear for his that had wider straps.

I've looked and looked, but can't find anything like that anywhere.

Anybody else see this?

The relative is not accessible, so I can't check back with them.

Have you tried Pad-A-Cheeks? They work great!

How old is yours?

I just got a new Comfort"2" last week or so (complete mask), it said it was the new and improved version on the package,

I'd say the headgear was improved and thicker material over the first version I seen. They supposedly improved the cushion as well, but I still found it to be uncomfortable and noisy. PM me if you are interested.

Here is the improvements but they don't list the headgear being one of the improvements:

I have three of them, two of them unused, one of those just arrived the other day with a New and Improved Sticker on it. All three look the same and the head gear is the same.

I did find the following....

I'm pretty sure that is what they were talking about. I ordered one.

I then heard about Pad-A-Cheeks. It's not clear from their website, how that attaches to the existing head gear though.

Comfort2 headgear: Where you see that strap get wider near the strap ends (where it would ride on your cheek), mine measures 1.25" wide at that point. It also appears to be thicker material. That green sticker is what mine had new and improved also.

Hi Folks,

Respironics has a new Premium Headgear available, that can be purchased. It is wider than the Deluxe Headgear and works on the Comfortfull 2 mask.
