This morning my
I was assuming the card keeps 7 days of detailed info on, and since last night was night 8, the first night would be lost.
What I found this morning was:
was nights/naps 6 and 7.
The summery was there for all 8 nights.
There was no info for night 8 other then the summery ie no detail data. Also the earlier nights were not there either.
To make it worse I had erased some of the earlier collections, because I thought they were on the card.
From now on I will need to make sure I keep everything.
I am not sure if this is how smart card works or this was a fluke.
Just to let others knwo.
This how the smart card (Encore) works?

Hi Self-Seeker,
In my experience, the card keeps 7 sessions of full details rather than 7 nights. So, if you take a nap, it would count that as a session and you'd only get six days. If you take two naps, you'd only get five days, etc.
I just put my card into the card reader. I have summary details as far back as August 6. I have full details for:
Sleep on 10/9
Nap on 10/9
Sleep 10/10
Sleep 10/11
Sleep 10/12
Nap 10/12
Sleep 10/13
I never erase my card. As you can see, rather than seven DAYS of data, I have seven sessions of data - only five days total, because I took 2 naps.
I may not have understood you correctly, but you said:

If you're saying you thought all the full data was kept on the card long-term, it's not. Encore Pro keeps all your data. Don't erase it from EncorePro, because if you do, you won't have it. If I misunderstood your question, please ask again. Thanks! To make it worse I had erased some of the earlier collections, because I thought they were on the card.

College Girl good explaination thanks.
I did no think of naps as sessions since they appeared on the day for the complinace. I need to remember that.
The other thing. Last night did not record daily data, I thought the earlier night would have disappeared.
I wonder what happened to last night's data. It was my new night with the swift and I really wanted to see the data, especially since the AHI more then double last night.
I ment to say I erased what I put on Encore, thinking that I had a week worth of stuff on the card.

I never erase what I put on EncorePro. That way it's always there when I need it. These cards are much more unreliable than EncorePro, and you can never tell when some card error is going to keep you from getting ANYTHING off of it. That hasn't happened to me yet, but I've read horror stories here every now and then. Better safe than sorry.
As for why it overwrote last night instead of the earliest night, well, I honestly have no earthly idea. I've never had it do that before. The way they're supposed to work is, as you've said, overwrite the earliest session. Are you absolutely positive it's not on there? Look for both today's date and yesterdays.

College Girl, I checked. I downloaded it twice this morning.
I got the summery, or at least the night was with the other nights. The daily data was not available.
I erased the card after that for when I took my nap.
Live and learn.
