Found A Great Tape Substitute for Dermiform

Post by jeepdoctor » Fri Oct 13, 2006 8:07 am

I have found a silk-like hypoallergenic cloth tape that is close to Dermiform in performance. (You will recall that Johnson & Johnson has discontinued Dermiform.) I am pleased with this new tape. The adhesive is less aggressive than 3M Micropore Paper Tape, but good enough so that it doesn't unstick during the night. I don't feel like I am pulling skin off in the morning when I untape. Details follow.

Cloth Surgical Tape by Dynarex Corp, Orangeburg, NY 10962. Reorder Number 3563. The local pharmacy charges about $ 2.00 for a 2” x 10 yd roll. Quite a few internet suppliers list this tape. It's made in China, but what isn't any more?
