I just finished my fourth night with my new Remstar Auto and the difference in how I feel is unbelievable. I was originally titrated at 12 and my old CPAP was set at that and I have used it for the past few years. I set my new machine for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 with the C-Flex setting at 1. My 90% rate has been at 15 with my AHI at 1.7 I have not been waking up at all during the night and the ease of breathing is amazing. My energy level has already increased and my appetite has decreased. I think I'm on to something here.

Excellent, hcdjr!
Did you ask to switch to an autopap, or did your doctor suggest it? If you brought it up first, was the doctor quite willing to prescribe it? And was the DME quite willing to go along with the Rx?
Good job!

Rested Gal,
Actually after a good bit of research, I asked my PP to prescribe and then went directly to CPAP.com and ordered the machine which I paid for myself. I found it much easier to do it this way rather than going through the machinations of another sleep study and preapproval from insurance. I knew my therapy was becoming less effective and this seemed the best way to address my needs and as it has turned out so far it was a good decision.
