cpap pro mask

Post by wirefire » Thu Feb 17, 2005 3:18 pm

I have been a cpap user for about 3 years now and as most of us I have tried several mask. By far there is nothing to compare to the " cpap pro". It is less intrusive, more comfortable and does not leak. It is a nasal pillow mask. I do however use one small piece of thin "skin sensitive" tape over my nose and the nasal pillows. I do have a small and crowed mouth so I simply used a dremil to smooth down the ends of the mouth piece. One other great thing about this mask is that the mouth piece also helps to seal your tonge at the top of your mouth and keeps you breathing through your nose. They don't mention that on their website but they should. The website is cpappro.com. I recommend it highly !!!
Hope this helps.

I think this mask is wonderful in one respect particularly: The extremes on which people fall.

No one seems to fall in the middle. "Well, I bought one, and it was OK, I'll use it occasionally. It's not my favorite, but it'll do".

It seems everyone I have heard from who has tried one either thinks it's a godsend or the cheapest piece of garbage they've ever seen.

I, for one, would love to try one, but since they are not available anyplace where I could demo one or even look at it before buying, it's just not worth the risk to me.

But I'm really glad you've found something that works well for you!

Liam, CPAP Amateur.

Yeah, the cpap pro has been hanging around since 1997 when it was first introduced, but has never made any major inroads in the marketplace.

The radio campaigns this past year as the "no mask" (see http://www.nomask.com) have sparked a lot of interest, given the number of questions I've seen about it. But I agree with Liam it's a love or hate relationship with the mask, nothing in the middle.
