Probably a really weird question

Post by Nenetx2004 » Wed Oct 04, 2006 3:22 pm

I have a nostril piercing. Just a tiny stud but there is a piece of metal inside my nostril. Is there anyone else out there who has this and has used a nasal pillow interface like Swift or Breeze? I'm interested in the Hybrid but would like some feedback........

Thanks for any and all feedback......and yes, I know it's a strange question but hey, we've seen it all on this board!

Jeanne

I don't have an answer, but I think you've won an award for a really good question. I had one, but let it close many years ago.

I think it would depend on where exactly it was. If it is very close to the edge of the nose it may be an issue. My nasal pillows only go into the very edge of the nose, just enough to keep them from wiggling out, so probably wouldn't be a problem. Nasal prongs would most likely be a problem because they go further up into the nose. A ring in the nose would definitly be a problem.

When I was born, I had just enough holes to cover my needs, But as I've got older the medical profession have decided I didn't have enough, and made more. If I thought I could stand it, I'd have them run ss tubes in my nose for extra air flow. Breathing is all that matters, whatever it takes, to get that job done. Jim

/humor mode on/

maybe you could take advantage of that piece of metal in your nose and use magnets to attach your mask

/humor mode off/

if you use a full face mask then it wont be a problem at all.

That's not as crazy as it sounds, but I would need a Star Gate around my head to pull hard enough to open mine, and I'm not allowed around a MRI anymore. Jim
