That makes sense, setting it to maybe 15cm Max, did not have trouble with the 7cm Min (that is what my Fisher & Paykel was set at and I am used to that).

Hey...wait a minute...its 3AM what are you doing up? Don't tell me others don't get that euphoric 8 hours solid sleep using CPAP..... j/k.

[quote="CollegeGirl"]Snoredog,
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree here. A range of just 1 cm over titrated pressure is not enough when starting out on an auto, and when there is the possibility of a pressure issue (and from what he describes, re: waking up because of breathing issues), there may very well be. At the very least I would set the range for, say, 5 to 10, or maybe even 5 to 12.

RH, if you can't breathe at 5 cms, you can up that bottom number to 6 or 7, whichever is most comfortable for breathing. I would suggest giving it a wider range, though - you need to find out what's going on, and that's going to be hard if the auto doesn't have "room to breathe," so to speak.

Just my two cents.

Unfortunately, as the name implies, I'm a college student - I have an essay due tomorrow, and I'm trying to finish it. I'm taking a short study break, and, geek that I am, I'm spending it on the forum. --CG

Went to my Doctor today to discuss the results of recent testing as to why I am having so much trouble getting a good nights sleep.

Pulmonary Function Test: Normal
Lung CAT Scan: Lungs Normal, Heart-Not Normal
Blood Work: Normal

Prescribed Requip for Restless Leg Syndrome (Sleep study suggested I have RLS)

Ever since I started on the Remstar/Auto w c-flex I have not had a good nights sleep. Minimum pressures were adjusted and no apparent change noted.

Something is waking me anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours of sleep. Several times I have noticed I seem to be waking up , for lack of better terms, gagging. Doctor told me to discontinue use of Remstar and go back to my Fisher & Paykel unit which I will do tonight.

Now the bad news (or good) the CAT scan showed possible arterial blockage around my heart. I have been referred to my cardiologist. Seems there is a new way to discover blockages using a new type of CAT scan rather than angioplasty. So another CAT scan is in order, this time for my ticker.

So, perhaps the issue with my sleep is a blessing as I would not have thought I have any blockages. I had a full stress test 13 months ago but as my cardiologist told me then the stress test is the best they can do, only way to tell is angioplasty or thank God, now the new CAT scan.
