NightHawkeye wrote:Encore Pro only seems to report in whole numbers, hence if the machine goes to 9.5 cm, then Encore Pro rounds it up to the next whole number and the daily chart displays a line at 10.0 cm. Not all charts in Encore Pro do this by the way, but I do remember that the daily chart does.

Are you talking about the data you see in EncorePro or the data you see in MyEncore?

dllfo wrote:Snoredog, I don't understand what you are saying. Max and min IPAP? I only have one IPAP that I know of. And one EPAP.
The BiPAP Auto has only one IPAP pressure to set, and one EPAP pressure. The BiPAP Auto doesn't have "Max/Min IPAP" or "Max/Min EPAP" settings.
dllfo wrote:Put another way, RG, you have this machine. Have you ever put the Max IPAP setting of ...make up any number...say ten and had YOUR machine go thru that number? Would you think your machine was malfunctioning or is there another explanation for the IPAP numbers.
dllfo, I've always used "whole" numbers for my settings:
EPAP 9, IPAP 16 are the pressure settings I use. I set the PS as high as it will go...in this case "7", which is the difference between my EPAP/IPAP settings.

I've never used MyEncore. I use only Encore Pro. I've not ever noticed the IPAP pressure being reported as higher than the IPAP I set. I think the discrepancy in pressure reported can happen when you are using 1/2 cm's instead of whole cm's. I don't know if using 1/2 cm pressure settings would get reported "rounded up" in just Encore Pro, or if it happens only in "MyEncore." Dunno....sorry.

Okay, now I'm curious. If they only have one number setting for each, what makes it an auto? Does it go up and down, just never above that pressure, or...? What tells it how low it's allowed to go?

Ahh! I was wondering why lettuce leaves and celery stalks keep disappearing when they're anywhere near my auto!
