i'd like to know.....
I would like to know how members of the forum feel about masks that have been used and clinically cleaned...........safe or not safe?, that is the question..........thanks in advance for all opinions
My feeling is that you can get germs/viruses off lots of things - basically anything you touch in public. So, I wouldn't have many qualms about using something that has been "disinfected".
I have purchased a couple of used masks off the forum. I wash them up really good with hot soapy water and wear them. No problems.
Of course that doesn't mean I couldn't get a problem, but I don't think the risk is any greater than a public restroom doorknob.

If clinically cleaned I am not at all bothered. MY germs are tough
Think about what your fingers pick up every day as you touch door handles & railings, coins, paper money & then eat snacks or biscuits with those same fingers. (have heard stats that indicate some large % of $100 bills have traces of cocaine on them )
Your teeth are far more dangerous than a cleaned mask
I am quite sure I have heard that the inside of our mouths have more dangerous bugs lurking than are found in the average 'throne' in the little room in the house.

(sorry if this made anyone squeamish )

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)

I agree with Linda and dsm. I have no qualms about using a "used" mask and wouldn't worry about trying to sterilize it. I'd just wash it well with soapy water. Not only "would", but "have"...many a used one.

I got one off Yahoo that was used, I boiled it double boiler fashion with tap water and deposited lime all over it. MEMO: use stainless steel and distilled water. Jim
