Don't tell my 10 year old about the hybrid under the blouse! She wants to wear a bra and might try it! Thanks for all the continued info. It is a bit overwhelming. I will stick to my guns and get a machine that I am happy with, not the bare bones model that might be offered.

Hi bairdbeth!

I have been a user for over 2500 hours. I originally went to a local dispenser of equipment(DME). They said that they did not deal with my Insurance Company, but I could purchase an CPAP from them, and they would help me get back my insurance coverage. As I live in a rural area of the Oregon Coast, I had little to no choices for a DME. They gave me a price of $1500 for a fixed pressure machine, plus $500 if I wanted a moisturizer addition. That's $2000 not to include the mask. I called my Insurance company, and they said they would reimburse me for 80% of any equipment I purchased anywhere. I eventually took my Rx and sent it to CPAP.COM. I received all the equipment I wanted for about $900. I ended up paying $180 co-pay, and the Insurance (with a little more work that I thought I needed to do) reimbursed me for the balance. If I had gone to the local DME, I would have received a machine I didn't even want, and would have paid at least a $400 co-pay. Using the machine is not rocket science, but getting used to the mask IS!

Best of luck, and you are definitely in the right place for answers to your questions/concerns!
