My mother thanks you and so do I

Post by jum001 » Tue Sep 19, 2006 1:42 pm

My mother is 85 years old and not inclined to patience. She is somewhat deaf and uses hearing aids. People with accents are hard for her to understand. Needless to say, when she encountered the rushed tech at the sleep center (whose first language was not English) the failure to communicate was enough to make titration impossible after two nights trying. Neither she nor the sleep center were inclined to try again.

Thanks to the people on this board, I was able to suggest using an apap at home for a month to gather the needed data. Just heard today that the doctor has prescribed this and the insurance company has OK'd the procedure. We would never have known to suggest this except for the information you all share. Thank you.

Julie

There is much power in a collective group and there are no more helping people than those whom share the same affliction? This has been a great forum to get help. And there are many members that will bend over backwards to give it.

This is one of the three best websites for me. I found another website at Healthboard.com, but it did not allow us to email each other, you could not even ask about that, or give real specific info. What a waste. I wanted to tell a few people over there about this site, but couldn't, I hope they find us.

This site is an enormous help. Thanks Johnny.
Installing Software is like pushing a rope uphill.
I have Encore Pro 1.8.65 but could not find it listed
under software.

I LOVE the SV.

This group is really vibrant - lots to keep people informed and there are regular bouts of entertaining threads.

The great thing about what does get discussed here is that people get to see so many opinions & the obvious answers are easy to see.

Cheers
