Don't worry about changing the settings on the machine-you are not going to be doing it willy nilly. There will be a range to select. For example the sleep clinic told me to put mine at 8-14. My titration study CPAP setting was 12. So I left it at 8-14 for a week. Then I started to try to reduce hypopneas. That done I changed to a Hybrid mask and my number went up. I'm back to 8-14 until I get either master using the Hybrid or send it off to a foster home where someone will love it. Once I get settled with the Hybrid-I do hold out some hope-I'll start changing numbers again. I keep a fairly methodical log of factors that seem to affect my sleep that I can control-then the settings I used-then look at my Encore Pro numbers in the AM. Wouldn't pass a research committee but serves my purposes. You have a great resource here-there are a number of people with a lot of knowledge about XPAP willing to help.
