Titration Pressure

Post by puffing billy » Mon Sep 11, 2006 7:15 am

Although I have had a couple of sleep studies I have not had a titration study (long story). So with discussions with my doctor I got a prescription for an APAP. The APAP works fine and I have an average AHI of 1.6 which is good. But looking at the data in My Encore I wonder at what point the titration study would show my pressure to be. Is at the point where the AHI is zero (about a pressure level of 13) or do they come up with an arbitary point somewhere in between. I have set my machine at 8.5 lower setting and 16 upper.

A little more than your 90% rate.. IN CPAP mode, I increased my pressure .5 CM at a time, with a weeks data at each stage until my AHI started higher from Centrals, Then I backed it down .5 CM, and I had my Sweet Spot. Jim

On APAP, I use the Sweet Spot as my high, and 5 cm under as my low.
