I have used all of the methods suggested, but I find this one is the easiest. Get a pour spout, the kind a bartender uses (I found two for under $4 at Rite Aid Drugs in CA) and attach to a, I use a wine bottle. Works great, no mess, no dripping, no need for a funnel, and a very easy fill.
Just don't get it mixed up with a vodka bottle when you are filling your HH!

Daily cleaning?
I do mine, but only every few days. When using distilled water, the ResMed company representative e-mailed me and recommended every 2-3 days. If using tap water, which I do when travelling, I clean the humidifier chamber daily. This is also at the recommendation of the ResMed rep.alsarnac wrote:Should we not wash our humidifier after each use and replace the remaining distilled water with fresh one on each night's session?
There is an extensive discussion on this thread of cleaning regimes:

There are lot more; just search for cleaning and stand back!
