I have been on CPAP now for over two months and have found a mask that now works great for me (F&P 431) my pressure is set @17cm - which is high I know.. and I have been reading this site from the day I was diagnosed...my question is this- I have felt 100% better from the day I started (and still do) but in reading this site I've noticed that many of you analyze your data quite often - if I feel great, and am sleeping through the entire night with my mask on, - is it necessary to do an analysis of my data - in other words, isn't just feeling great enough or do I need to be concerned that I'm still not getting all I could?

No Software Question
MD727,
That's "YOUR call".
Most of us have our own reasons for monitoring our therapy. I think for a lot of us it's a curiosity factor....we want to know how we're doing. For me, part of it was to prove that my sleep doctor prescribed me the wrong pressure. (I was right) I'm also able to prove my compliance and therapy history with software reports going back to "Day One".
At least you already have a machine that will tell you what's going on if or when you start to feel "not so good".
Best wishes,
Den

Re: No Software Question
Think of OSA as an illness similar to diabetes. You really need to learn as much about your treatment as possible. It invloves the patient changing their way of life in order to monitor and take control of their treatment. The reason why the software becomes important is because it facilitates the monitoring of the effectiveness of your treament. How you feel is just as important however ... in order to prevent the numbers alone from leading you astray.MD727 wrote:I have been on CPAP now for over two months and have found a mask that now works great for me (F&P 431) my pressure is set @17cm - which is high I know.. and I have been reading this site from the day I was diagnosed...my question is this- I have felt 100% better from the day I started (and still do) but in reading this site I've noticed that many of you analyze your data quite often - if I feel great, and am sleeping through the entire night with my mask on, - is it necessary to do an analysis of my data - in other words, isn't just feeling great enough or do I need to be concerned that I'm still not getting all I could?

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
