The humidifier on my 420 e seems to use a fair amount of water even when I only use it as a pass over ( turned off)
The ResMed S 8 that I had for about a month didn't use anywhere as much.
I have noticed when I do have the heat turned on the 420 humidifier feels warm to touch and the ResMed never did .
Also the little rubber joiner between the apap and the humidifier seems a bit sus and I do wounder about leaks there
The manual says to disconnect the humidifier when not in use to stop water from entering the machine ,is this necessary because the less I have to touch that rubber joiner the better
Anyone know much about it .
Thanks from Jacko still cpaping and fighting with masks

420 e Humidifier
The 420 humidifier only holds about half as much water as others, so if you crank it up above 3, you will likely run out before mornning.
I don't use the integrated humidifier much, but when I do use it, I place them side by side, with an 18 inch hose connecting them, as that little gasket seemed to stretch as it warmed, and would leak and whistle during the night...just required to much fiddling. The hose also means I am less likely to have an accidental overfill or humidity back up into the pap.
I regularly use my FP HC150, and only keep the 420HH for travel and backup.
