MyEncore

Post by rickb54 » Sat Sep 02, 2006 6:51 am

I cannot get the MyEncore program to work. When I start it I get the following error message: unhandled exception occurred. invalid object name SleepTrendEventLog. If I open the program anyway, there is no data in it. Thanks,
Rick

This may sound like a dumb question, but I need to ask if you have read the card successfully using EncorePro? and does EncorePro show the data OK? Which version of EncorePro are you running? Which version of MyEncore? Which Remstar is writing data to the card? M-series? Have you changed machines lately? Did the MyEncore work OK then stopped working? Any other details you can provide might help answer your question. Meanwhile, is the .net framework up to date? Is the MSSQL service started? MSSQLEncore service started? etc...

The data appears in EncorePro (ver 1.3 something) . I just downloaded MyEncore and .net from the link in this forum. I have a Remstar auto which was just factory refurbished. I have not used MyEncore before. I have no idea how to check if MSSQL and MSSQLEncore are running or if my .net framework is up to date. Thanks.

guest: To find out what programs/subprograms are running on your computer: Do a Ctl-Alt-Delete (simultaneously) from the keyboard. Windows Task Manager Window will pop up, showing the running applications and their status. Click on the Processes Tab. It will provide you with a list of all processes running. You should be able to identify any belonging to SQL/Encore (or not).
I hope this helps in some small part...Keep investigating.

...are you telling us that 'nothing happens' after you initiate the Encore Pro program? Watch the lights on your reader; should go from red to green when pgm access the reader.
You must tell it to download data from the card reader. Then quey the 'reports'. I didn't get detailed report data until I double-clicked on patient name (mine), then viola! up came the screen for me to select 'detailed data'. That option was not available from the 'reports' tab. Too much investigating/lack of documentation/trial & error to get what we really need!!
Don't be afraid to click/double click everything you can find...just DON'T REMOVE OR DELETE anything from the card! Surprising what you can find out sometimes...when documentaion is sorely lacking, or even if it's good!

Here is one way to check that, wake up a program called sqlmangr.exe, typically found at:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\sqlmangr.exe

Select each server from the top window, and the SQL SERVER from the services dialogue window. If they are not started (green triangle on the computer icon) start them by clicking the green triangle "button" on the START/CONTINUE line. If it is already running, DON'T click the RED button on the STOP line, that will stop it.

(sorry to be slow in answering your question)
