First night, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

Post by Mikesus » Sat Feb 12, 2005 6:24 am

Ok, after all the apprehension of hooking up to the hose, I can say that it makes a BIG DIFFERENCE!!! I feel like I slept for days vs hours! I did have one time that the pressure woke me up (Remstar Auto w/clfex) and it stayed rather high so I ended up restarting the machine, but that still beats waking up multiple times a night. In my glee I managed to delete my saved data off my card (I know RTFM!!) so I will have to wait til tonight to see how I did so to speak... I can say tho, this is the first time that I woke up on the first alarm and actually felt awake, in a very very long time! (and the wife said it took care of the snoring, I would start to snore lightly and the machine would stop it, so it got a thumbs up from her)

That's really great news Mikesus and hopefully the first step on the road to recovery. It may not be a smooth road, so when you run into any minor setbacks, do remember how you feel right now

Let's also hope that your success helps to allay the fears and apprehension of those that are yet to experience the dreaded machine, and also gives renewed hope and encouragement to those that have yet to experience the benefits.

It was kinda funny, the morning after I first used my CPAP I woke up thinking "This Dumb thing don't work, I'm not tired, I must not have slept at all." Kinda bad when you can't even remember what a good night of sleep feels like. Glad it's workin for Ya'. Jon.....

Congrats! It is strange to feel what real sleep is like for the first time - you'll soon find that you can't go without it at all.
