How does cpap.com compare?

Post by Snorenomore1 » Fri Feb 11, 2005 5:20 pm

I am finding that CPAP.com seems to keep their prices very competitive. I have spent some amount of internet time comparing prices on machines, masks, etc and cpap.com appears to do the same. When they don't beat the price, in most cases they seem to match other websites.

I'll be making a purchase in the next week or two of a machine. With you frequent users or those who have studied this subject a lot more than I have, what are top 3 websites out there for price, selection and customer support for purchasing machines and masks?

I've only ordered from CPAP.COM. However, they were quick, courteous, helpful, and unlike just about everyone else I looked at, they had BOTH the low price AND free shipping (over $100). The combination for most things I've looked at has resulted in the lowest out of pocket.

Of course, if you're ordering something cheaper, then the shipping kicks in, but you'll have that everywhere.

Every time someone shows up that looks like a better deal, there turns out to be a catch. Given the prices and the service, unless someone turns out to have a significantly better deal, I'm going to stick with CPAP.COM. They've proven themselves.

Liam, who doesn't work for CPAP.COM, honestly. He's just always wanted to be a spokesmodel.

3 websites...

Seriously tho, they are AWESOME to deal with!! And if you are considering a machine, take a serious look at the Remstar Auto with cflex. I am SOOO glad I switched my initial order from Resmed Spirit. The Cflex is awesome!

Excellent timing, I'm just now unpacking my new auto c-flex from cpap.com. Did my order on the website because of my late work hours and everything went smooth as silk. The machine and mask were in stock and shipping and delivery were immediate (I did go for overnight shipping). E-mails kept me posted on the status all the way. I will plan on doing any future business with them as well!

cpap.com is not just a cpap website, it's a group of great people doing great things. I don't think anyone else even compares to what you get when doing business with them.
Sincerely,

Ditto on all of the above, even for overseas customers.

... and they provide this forum, which I've found to be almost as valuable as my machine

I definately enjoy the value I have gotten from CPAPtalk as well and appreciate them putting this up for all of us to share our experiences, recommendations and gripes. For that reason I wondered if I should even make a post asking about other recommended places to buy from.

But then I thought of something TiTrator said regarding the different CPAP machines -

"the more companies competing for market share the better. It keeps the manufacturers innovating."

I have to think "the more companies competing for our business the better" is true too and that will help to keep prices competitive.

Snorenomore, who is hoping and praying the Liam gets the help he needs.

I dealt with a local DME'er, and CPAP.COM. Deal with CPAP.com, they are much more efficient, knowledgeable, helpful, will even save you money if you order from them, and they can package it, ship it, right to you door, very helpful to deal with.
My DME'er stopped by yesterday, (I AM HOPING FOR GOOD NO MORE VISITS). I questioned her on insurance, billing, etc. she knew NOTHING. So point it, with CPAP.com, you know up front, etc. costs, shipping, foloow thru, and knowledge. None of which I rec'd from local outfit . Local DME was pleasant, but lax in follow thru, she and I had to ''read'' the manual how to hook up my new Htd. Humidifier, she admitted, she NEVER SAW ONE BEFORE.

Maybe if she reads this site, she'll see herself (coming and going!).

Mikesus, actually replacing an older remstar that the insurance co. has been paying rent on. I have been using the Respironics Comfort Select nasal mask with good results but also ordered a Mirage Vista with the new machine because I wear contacts until I hit the sack where I wear glasses if I'm going to read or watch a little tv. Still tinkering a little with all the new adjustments but I know that I already love the c-flex after just one night! Please tell us how your night went!
