... and the sound of your snoring and gasping for air does not bother her?

There are always ear plugs too ...

I don't hear the hybrid at all unless it is blowing on something. If I'm on my back or side and the exhaust is just blowing in to the air, it doesn't make any sound. It only starts making a sound if I end up with my face in the pillow or on my arm. Even then, it's not what i would call "loud", it's just sound.

Make your wife wear earplugs! That's what I did when my husband first got his bi-pap. That old thing was loud and I couldn't deal with it so I just wore earplugs to bed. They worked wonders for me! Unfortunately, now I have apnea too so we have dueling machines. His is still louder, but I'm used to it so I no longer have to wear the plugs. It's not a big deal, we can all adapt if we have to!

Dude, if your wife will not let you use your swift, all's I can say is you must have a pretty good life insurance policy with her as the beneficiary. Don't mean to be critical, but does she realize this little inconvenience is helping to save your life?

if his wife is as light a sleeper as i am then it's more than a little inconvenience. i can't sleep with the swift. hm...maybe she has apnea too.

I have never tried the Hybrid, but my wife tells me the Activa is the quietest of all that I've tried, so far.

In my case, there is no noise from my Hybrid.
