I don't know if a new one will help much in that regard. The UMFF is one of the most comfortable masks made (if they are the right size and properly fitted).

Re: due for a new ff mask
I have used the Hybrid Mask for the last 16 nights and highly recommend it for anyone needing a full face mask.bank4cat wrote:im due next week for a new mask my ff urtra marage makes the bridge of my nose sore if i loosen up to much to were it dont hurt it leaks looking for something else to try that will be more comfy on bridge of nose thanx

I had that problem at first with my UMFF. I now make sure that I clean the seal with vinegar/water each day and make sure that my face is thoroughly clean at night prior to "masking up" and I have no problems.

Make sure you have the straps adjusted correctly.
When I got my mask, I fitted the upper strap waaay off, and pulled it down on the back of my head like you would a baseball cap. (Instead of sitting up higher like it should.)
THis led to me having to use too much tension on the mask, and led to skin irritation and pimples at the top of my nose.

I have the same problem re pressure sores on the bridge of my nose. Just have "that sort of skin" per my doctors. (I think I have put many dermatologists children thro school during my lifetime.) For now, I use a small bandage (varying type so I don't react to the adhesive) to relieve the pressure. I am planning to get a different mask soon to use to change off from one to the other which will also help to relieve the pressure on one spot.

I would highly recommend the Hybrid for anyone who needs a full face mask and doesn't like the pressure on the nose. I tried both the F&P and the Mirage and neither one worked for me. Tried every size and it was either too big or too small plus it made me extremely claustrophobic. The Hybrad has been a God-send! No pressure points and no claustrophobia. It seems to be the perfect option for anyone needing a full face mask without having a mask that completely covers your nose and mouth!
