Can anyone tell me about what the differences are between these two types of machines? Obviously the appearance/size of the machine is different, but are there any other major differences?
I currently have a Remstar Plus Cflex (The older style) that works fairly well for me. However, I am changing insurance companies at the beginning of the month, and I am looking into getting a new CPAP.
Is there any reason why I should stick with the older style as opposed to going with the M Series?
Differences between Respironics Remstar and M Series?
From what I've read, there aren't any real functional differences. The only thing you might consider is that the "Plus" model you have doesn't give any nightly statistics. If your current machine and your therapy are working well for you, it might be fine. On the other hand, if you have an "excuse" to upgrade, you might consider either the REMstar Pro 2, REMstar Auto, REMstar M Series Pro or the REMstar M Series Auto.
There is, however, one feature that the M Series Pro and Auto apparently have in that they can display some of the nightly statistics on the LCD screen, which may make it appealing.
