Bathroom breaks
I have a weakened bladder from years of "holding it" because teachers never get enough bathroom breaks.
It may have nothing to do with this, but pre-CPAP I awoke to urinate 2-3 times a night on average.
Post-CPAP=1 time a night, starting with even the worst first few nights of waking up to adjust the Swift.
At my sleep doctor's office last time, the waiting room talk was all about this. The doctor or maybe his assistant told me that there is a hormone(?) or something similar, that the deeper sleep helps to affect the trips to the bathroom.
Someone out there will be able to add to this; if not, I see the doc on Tuesday and will ask him.

I confess I never thought of OSA as a cause of having to pee in the night. I am supposed to drink LOTS of liquid because of kidney stones (Keep those kidneys working! Dilute! Dilute!), so I just put it down to that. I used to go at least once, sometimes twice in the night, Now, I sleep straight through. My urologist will be horrified!
Getting old doesn't make you 'forgetful'. Having too damn many things to remember makes you 'forgetful'.
