Wow - I can't do tape, I'm allergic to tape adhesive....that's right, tape adhesive. It seems the older I get, the more things my body doesn't tolerate - and I'm only 33!
ANYWAY - I too suffer from the mouth farts and LOVE my new and improved chin strap.... The 'Ruby Red' by Tiara Medical Systems. It's made of of a wetsuit type material. The only thing I didn't like was the way it smelled coming out of the package - very plasticy. I had to hand wash it a couple of times before that 'new' smell go out of it. Here's a link where you can view it, and depsite it going around you head, it's actually quite comfortable!

Respironics Chin-strap??
Re: Full face masks
New post to and old thread, but it's good info.MelMel wrote:Take a look at the new Fisher Paykel full face mask. It incorporates the chin into the mask much unlike the masks made by the other manufacturers. It is the 431 mask. Chin straps do a good job, but the ff masks seem to work better. You might have to either add or increase your heated humidifier to keep your mouth from drying out.

I agree that the Fisher & Pakel is a good design, but I have had problems with it seeming to seal when I first put it on and later in the night, when I end up on my back, my cheeks lose seal and leakage goes off the graph. Facial shape is probably significant with this mask. I'd suggest trying it under pressure while you are on your back. Try smiling and see if it leaks. If I smile, I get blow-by. The straps are as tight as I could stand. If only I could prevent smiling in my sleep (grin).
The Opus 360 and the Swift Fx are winners for me. Now to stop the mouth leaks. I'm trying blue painter's tape tonight.
