We have some up front requirements that must be met for consideration:
1. You must live in the Houston area and have reliable daily transportation to our offices on the SW Freeway (59 S).
2. Our phones are open from 8am until 10pm. You must be willing to cover flexible shifts including 8-5, 9-6, and 1-10 and some 8-6 Saturdays.
3. Your home must have or you must be willing to purchase broadband or better internet connection in your residence. We have a VOIP phone system that requires broadband. Although we reserve the right to call you into the office daily as needed, in practice, after you have earned your stripes as a CPAP.com CSR you work many shifts from home.
4. Your home must have or you must be willing to purchase a computer up to the task of using our web based order processing software to take orders and reference information.
5. You must be physically able and willing to work in our air conditioned warehouse. Everyone starts in the warehouse to learn the products and processes of our business. No exceptions.
6. You must be willing to become a student of CPAP (after a long day in the warehouse, you've got to go home and study). After 1-3 months in the warehouse you train with Johnny (General Manager) and then you transition to training with Adam (Phone Support Manager) on all things CPAP. After this intensive period you are declared a rookie CPAP.com CSR.
Here is a description of the job and our expectations:
Job Purpose:
Assist patients with clinical and technical aspects of their Sleep Apnea treatment over the phone and through email.
Duties:
Your primary task will be manning the telephones of our toll free hotline. Here are some of this things this task will require:
* Have a Positive Attitude. Be a flexible, engaged team player.
* Help Patients Decide On Products. Walk patients through the process of selecting and purchasing CPAP Equipment through our website.
* Help Patients Purchase Products. Accept and process orders over the phone via a web based order processing system.
* Help Patients "Make It Work". Troubleshoot clinical and technical patient questions, both before and after the sale.
* Process Orders and Leads. Answer patient emails, upload and download files via email, navigate our website to find solutions to product questions, reference our FAQ section to find answers to clinical questions.
* Be A Self Motivated Learner. Previous knowledge of CPAP Equipment or Sleep Apnea is NOT required. However, if you do not enjoy learning a lot of new information in a short period of time you will not enjoy this job!
* Think and Question. Once you gain experience, actively point out inefficiencies in established methods of doing your job; regularly discuss suggestions for improvement with your manager.
* Be Upwardly Mobile. Master your job quickly and be open to moving into new roles in the company.
Required Skills and Personality Traits:
Clear and Concise Verbal and Written Communicator, Able To "Think On Your Feet", Quick Typist, Comfortable With Web Based Tools (Email, Forms, Shopping Websites), Motivated To Learn About New Products, Multi-Tasker
Non-Required Skills (Things We'll Teach You):
Product Knowledge of CPAP Machines, Clinical Knowledge of Sleep Apnea Treatment.
Non-Required, But A Plus:
Experience with Billing Insurance/Medicare, Previous Experience with Sleep Apnea or CPAP Machines, Being an LVN, Fluent in Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin) in addition to English.

24,000 - 30,000 USD/Year Starting Salary
