got a report today from the DME of the past 30 days of use of the Remstar Auto w/c-flex. I got my nightly results for the past seven days as well as well as a long term trend chart. I would like some help in understanding the information.
The machine is set a 6-20. The average AHI was 2.1, and I note most of the events occur when the pressure is at 6-7.
What other numbers should I post?
I would also like to know what the snore index is, what a flow limitation is and what the leak numbers mean. For instance for the month my average snore index was 2.3, the average mask leak was 26.4 and the average max leak was 97.8.
I do not feel I am sleeping well. I wake up frequently during the night and usually do not feel rested in the morning.
Any help would be appreciated.

Your mask is leaking waaaaay too much. Around 1._ is in normal limits. No wonder you are still feeling tired. I wouldn't worry about the snore index, as that can be caused by what they call "accoustical vibrations". Even the movement of your hose against something can cause that.
Have you not noticed your mask making a lot of noise? Or are you perhaps taking it off a lot during the night and not turning the machine off?

tjs,
I think your leaks are OK. If I remember correctly Janelle has a different machine that reports leaks in liters per second. The Remstar machines report leaks in liters per minute, so to convert your leaks were approx .4 to 1.7 LPS which is in the range Janelle was talking about. The AHI of 2.1 is ok, 5 or less is considered to be good. As far as waking alot, give it some time, concentrate on comfort issues and try to work out all the hose issues etc... to minimize arrousals.
