[quote="Hoseboy"]hi everybody. does anybody have any info on the mirage activa nasal mask? i'd love to hear from anybody who has used it. when i do the sizing form on cpap.com it says its not ideal for me. i'm wondering if anybody could think why it wouldnt be. if its something minor, i can adjust. right now i'm using a comfortgel i got from my granddad, since he gets a new mask from medicare all the time. the thing is its a large and larges are huge on me. it takes up most of my face!! it fits, but its huge. i'm only wanting to change cuz of the fact that it is pretty big, and that makes it a little awkward.

I've been a CPAP user since June, 2006.
I have tried the Mirage Swift, Comfortlite2, Comfort Gel, Profile Lite, Comfort Lite, and the Comfort Select. I had problems with all of them, especially the Comfort Gel, and Mirage Swift.
I was just about to give up on the whole idea until I tried the Mirage Activa (Large) It is by far the very best thing for me. I have had absolutely no problems, and for the first time, I actually sleep through the whole night.
Occasionally I get stuffy nose at night, but so far this is remedied by wearing a Breathe Right nasal strip. My insurance covers a new mask every three months, so when I am soon due, I "may" try out the Hybrid Mask--just for use if I get a bad cold. I really don't expect to change from the Activa, but I'd like to be prepared, just in case.
The Activa really is comfortable, and you don't need the straps tight to get a good seal. It just sort of "floats" on your face.
Good luck in your search!
