A long time mix-up re my name & member status

Post by Selena (but really Julie) » Tue Aug 15, 2006 11:12 am

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me here as I've written to the forum admin. and don't have an answer. Here's a copy of my mail...
Months ago (I can't remember the sequence of events now) I found that my user name (Julie) was no longer 'active' in some sense or other, and therefore chose a new one (Selena). It would appear on my postings followed by 'previously Julie', and was the only way I could post, though for some reason if I PM'd another member, I could and HAD to use just plain 'Julie' (apparently still active in some part of the computer site). I wrote you about this, but nothing has ever changed. Well yesterday I asked someone to PM me re a question they had that I chose to deal with privately, but have since discovered that I'm now listed on your site as a GUEST! However I was able to log in here as Julie (alone) to write you, and would VERY much like to know what is going on there, would very much like to reinstate myself on the boards (& not just for PM'ing) as Julie, and very much like NOT to be listed as 'Guest' when I AM a member. PLEASE get back to me and straighten this out ASAP, as it's making my life on the forum very difficult (and that of other posters who want to write to me). Thank you. - I just went to 'submit' and it won't take it under 'Julie' (the name's already been taken ... by me!) so I'm posting under Selena again...

Selena (but really Julie)

Request for help with forum admin.

Sorry to be such a pest, but can someone please respond and help me here? I'm starting to feel invisible and unwanted, and don't know why. Thank you.. Here again is my forum posting of today...

Julie,
I don't have an answer to your question, but perhaps since Administration seemed to not have an answer for you, DELETE or cancel your account and re-register using instead of just "julie" perhaps "julie (and the first initial of your last name?) like JulieB or what ever your last name initial is.

Maybe there is another member already with the Julie before you used it.

I wish I had an answer.

Good Luck
Suzy
