You must go in the menu for the hose setting by holding the > button for a few seconds until you see a single number and a small hose icon on the lower left. Then, push the UP or DOWN buttons to get the hose heat you want. It only goes from 0 to 3. When you quit pushing buttons the display will time out and go back to the humidity setting.
Funny thing is the hose doesn't even feel warm. It's just not clammy, more like room temp.

Weird. My HC608's hose temp setting goes up to 10. The humidifier goes up to 4 tho.

Weirder still

I could never find a hose setting on my HC608, at all. All I found was a "comfort" setting and a "climate" setting (accessed trhough the advanced menu, but no setting for the hose -v- the humidifier, and I played with both and could never solve the stuffy air problem, or strike an effective balance between humidification comfort -v- stuffy air.

Hmm, sounds like the 608 has a different menu.
I went back to check and the hose heat setting is 1, 2, or 3, not 0 to 3... minor error.
It doesn't go to 10 on the 604, i guess. I wonder if the 608 hose gets warmer.
My humidity goes from 0 to 4 in .5 increments.

Same

Nope. Both are the SAME on the 608. I just kept on getting awakewned by how stuffy the air was, from time to time (not consistently) which led me to believe that it was an effect of the hose heating.

Hmm... possibly my HC608 has newer firmware - I've only had it since mid-May.

The humidity setting is the same though - 0-4 in .5 increments.

I've been running the hose at max temp (10) (It's winter here), and the hose definitely feels warm to the touch.

I have found that I do not need to heat my water in fact I do not like the feeling of it being heated.
Same here. It feels stale and stuffy and mildly suffocating. Cool is what I like... passover humidification only. Heat dial turned off. A/C low in room to keep the intake air cool too. I have no problems with dry mouth... possibly because I'm using a full-face mask.... I never really did understand the philosophy of having two country roads open but deliberately blocking off the superhighway. =)
Yes, I was disappointed F&P doesn't make a machine that will give you more details like Remstar. I'll probably get a Remstar Auto, someday, against the advice of my Sleep Doc.I love the details!
You don't need an APAP to get details. There are CPAP machines that offer the exact same details, such as the Respironics REMstar Pro2 and REMstar Pro M-Series.

Ah yes, Guest. You are correct. I was just saying OF the Remstar models that I would like the Auto. But, who wouldn't... The Pro2 would suite me fine as well.
