Clearly, you misinterpreted my post. My DME is saying go for the Respironics Auto CFLEX, NOT the new M series. It's too noisy for most people. In fact, he says Resmed is not that quiet either.

Listen to both of them (M and Auto CFLEX) side by side and decide for yourself....

Halbert,

I think I am having a very similiar problem. I just got a new Resmed S8 vantage, which is a very small machine. The machine that I had previously was the Respironics solo, which is a medium/large machine. I slept very well with this machine

I cannot tolerate the Resmed S8 because the airflow is very noisy. In fact I am returning this machine. I will be getting the Respironics Remstar auto CPAP (Not the M Series) because I guess I am very sensitive to the noise.

Both Machines are set at the same pressure.

I hope the airflow of the respironics resmstar auto cpap is similiar to the respironics solo
