Cpap mask
Re: Cpap mask
Do you have your machine on a table at a higher level than yourself? Put it on something a bit lower - water won't run uphill.
Re: Cpap mask
Are you filling your humidifier past the fill line. Is there water built up in your hose,(rainout)?
Re: Cpap mask
Put the cat out of your bedroom.

Thank you! I'll try lowering it. Although, after using for 2 years, this is a recent development.
Re: Cpap mask
Seems like to me your humidifier is turned up too high. I had mine up too high and had a similar problem. Sometimes the machine can turn itself up by itself, or, could be a ghost.
Re: Cpap mask
Condensation happens when the air in the hose or mask cools to the point it can no longer hold the water content in the air so we get water in the hose or mask. Why now and not in the past? Who knows...maybe the ambient air temp in the bedroom is a bit cooler and causing the air temp to drop to the point that condensation happens. Maybe you increased the humidity setting.Cathieo wrote:Thank you! I'll try lowering it. Although, after using for 2 years, this is a recent development.
See this thread posts number 2 and 3 for options available for reducing or eliminating condensation from happening.

It's just physics in action.
Putting the machine lower may or may not help...it depends on the type of mask you are using and where the moisture is coming from.
Some masks are made in such a way that water in the mask can't flow back into the hose to let gravity help move the moisture out of the way.
