Best Cpap software?
Best Cpap software?
What have you found to be the best software for monitoring sleep apnea?
Re: Best Cpap software?
I've repeatedly heard people say SleepyHead. I've never used it because until I started a new machine last night, my machine was incompatible with Sleepyhead.

Additional Comments: Oscar software. I lost 40 pounds on Zepbound (yay) but I still need a FFM for my OSA |
Resmed Airsense 11 Autoset, Mirage FF Quattro. Severe OSA. Pressure set 8-16.
Re: Best Cpap software?
I've tried DreamMapper on iOS but it often gives me different numbers than the machine.
Re: Best Cpap software?
I prefer ResScan over Sleepyhead. YMMV.

Re: Best Cpap software?
The answer is: It depends on what machine you have and what "monitoring" means to you.DeannaPap wrote:What have you found to be the best software for monitoring sleep apnea?
But most people using Resmed S9s, AirSense 10s, and AirCurves and PR System One (Series 50 and Series 60) and DreamStations tend to prefer SleepyHead over their manufacturer's software.
There are Resmed users who prefer ResScan to SleepyHead. There are a very few PR users who prefer Encore over SleepyHead.
Most docs prefer to see reports printed out using the software from the manufacturer. Mine is one of them, and that's the only reason I ever bother to load my data into Encore. Between doctor visits, I use SleepyHead.

I use Sleepyhead.
Managed to get ResScan to work but it is slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
then again, may just be my tablet.
But sleepyhead is very easy to use & has a excellent guide

Re: Best Cpap software?
I went to the ResMed website and it appears they charge for their software. Does anyone know the price and if it's worth it?robysue wrote:The answer is: It depends on what machine you have and what "monitoring" means to you.DeannaPap wrote:What have you found to be the best software for monitoring sleep apnea?

Well, that depends on your attitude; Mine is --The company got at least $400-$500 bucks for their machine, but they want more for software to read results?
Capitalist pigs!
Give JediMark some money so he can afford to keep Sleepyhead running. No corporation is going to let you use it free.

Sleepyhead's free.

Wander over to apneaboard.org. If you join that forum (which is free), you'll be able to request a download link for a free copy of ResScan, the official software for Resmed machines. (Access to the official software for xPAP machines is restricted to members only on apneaboard.)DeeCPAP wrote:I went to the ResMed website and it appears they charge for their software. If you use a Resmed machine and you want to create a report using software that any sleep doctor would recognize as legitimate, ResScan is what you want to use. But most of us CPAPers find that SleepyHead is more user friendly that ResScan.

Re: Best Cpap software?
I agree!! What's a better brand machine? I think the computer in my ResMed s9 is broken. It said I slept 21 hours. I only slept 4.Suenyo wrote:Well, that depends on your attitude; Mine is --The company got at least $400-$500 bucks for their machine, but they want more for software to read results?
