Any One Else Get Locked Out?

Post by Holden4th » Thu May 04, 2017 10:30 pm

This forum suddenly became non-operational for me about a week ago and I've only just re established contact. I got an error message from a group called Incapsula and no matter which PC/MAC I used from at least three different sites (work, home mates place) or my cell phone it wouldn't let me connect. It was only after I contacted CPAP.com for the second time that connection was suddenly restored. I wondered if it was because I was trying to connect from Australia that Incapsula saw me as a DOS attack or something similar. Alternatively, the problem was on this site and someone fixed it. I wonder if there are others out there who now think that the site has probably gone belly up and won't reconnect.

The same thing has happened to me. I have been checking daily for about a week and I just kept getting an error message.
I also tried various devices. This afternoon it works again.
Has it only been for those of us in Australia?

Same here in the UK, I thought it was just the server here. I emailed CPAP.com twice about it but they are not responding. I thought perhaps they're trying to work out where the spam is coming from but an explanation would be good.

This gives me the impression that it was only non US members who were affected. Doesn't matter now as we are back on track. I did manage to get a reply from CPAP.com and maybe that was the impetus that got things up and working again. I also got a message through to a member of this forum and it was immediately after that things were resolved. Such is the way of the internet. Glad to be back.

Yep, Same for me. I'm in Australia too.
A couple of days ago I did a search for cpaptalk in google and could see reference to recent posts, but was not able to access them.

You don't know how much you miss it until it is gone!!!

Sounds like there was a big spam attack from a foreign site and the company that provides security for this site (Incapsula I believe) might have gone overboard in blocking all login attempts that were not USA based. If this is true then whatever methods that Incapsula employs to protect the site are not working as well as they should as they had to use a sledgehammer to crack a walnut. In the process they locked genuine members out of the system. Makes you wonder about how effective Incapsula's protection system works. The spam should not happen and more importantly, regular members should not be locked out without explanation.

Shows a huge lack of respect to many members that contribute to this forum when you're locked out without any explanation.
