Nope, it doesn't. And, their marketing description that you quoted does not make such a claim.

Now, the algorithm that you selected might be very comfortable for you. But, the machine is not learning.

Not sure why you are arguing about it.....

Yes, they LEARN. Call it what you want, or deny it. Just like the good home units learn/adjust to your breathing. The problem with the Z1 is that the learning/algorithms are not nearly as good as my home unit. Especially at first. Once it learns and adapts, and at the same time you learn TO adapt to it, then it becomes much more comfortable to use. Which was one of the issues the OP was wanting addressed.

They only "know". They leave the factory with an algorithm. That algorithm doesn't learn anything. The adjustable machine settings are made by you or a medical professional. The algorithm defines what the machine does with the settings.

Pay particular attention to this part of the first sentence in the article,

CPAP machines rely on explicit instructions. They do not rely on patterns or inference. They do not learn.

If your machine breaks and you are given an identical machine set to the same pressures, etc., it will function the first night exactly like your first machine.

I'm glad you learned to use your Z1 as a suitable travel machine.

Your link, as well as common knowledge, simply prove MY point. Does the machine sit there and think "what does this person do best with"? No. But algorithms are a form of "thinking".

Yet you just want to argue over it. Fine. Go hang out on the ignore list with Palerider........
