You "just came to NY"... wouldn't it be smart to look at other factors there that could have been responsible, rather than Cpap, which you've used with no problem in the past?
All kinds of things can be new 'allergens' at any time in your life, and depending on any number of potential offenders from carpeting to soap to new food to higher traffic exhausts it's more likely some such change has taken place. Why blame Cpap (unless you have no filters in place)?
