Here's the problem - you go to a clinic and sometimes you are just siphoned off to the newest doctor and not the BEST doctor at that clinic. Here's Boston Globe's listing of best doctors in the Sleep area in Boston. Includes your clinics. We've tried a few of these 'best doctors' in my local arena and they tend to be better than average, but there is no guarantee. The top doctors often are close to retirement or have a full plate of patients, but you certainly can try. It's a starting point anyway.

The fact that you are having breathing problems while awake would lead me to recommend that you see a regular specialist and not a sleep doctor. Not sure what other doctor would evaluate that type of condition.
really frustrated! finding a doctor in boston?
