YES, I started having them about a year before I started using my Bipap. I had been diagnosed with mild to moderate apnea about 8 years ago.
Didn't use cpap because it made me more tired but I really didn't give it a good try. I started waking with really bad fast heart pounding! My sleep dr gave me another sleep study and apnea was much worse. I had one one night so bad I thought I was having a hear attack. Needless to say that scared me enough to give it a really good try. I now sleep with Bipap every night . Don't love it but do it and it has pretty much stopped the problem.

The racing heart and sweating like you were in an aerobic workout sure sounds like untreated OSA to me too.

Will your strong heart last another nite if you continue to treat it that way? Do you really want to find out? I sure wouldn't.

Oh yes, I forgot the sweating. I had sweating too and I thought they were hot flashes. That has stopped too on cpap.

She has a show called Judge Julie ... plays right here on CPAP.com every day. Where you been? Under a CPAP machine or something?
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

It was extremely unnerving and THE WORST wake up attack I've ever had. I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea 2 years ago, but haven't been using my CPAP very much. Needless to say it scared the hell out of me and I'm still getting very minor chest discomfort this morning. My heart is strong and I've had numerous cardiac tests which all came back normal. I don't get tired when I dont use my CPAP, so this has never been a problem for me.

Has anyone had really bad wake up attacks like this before?

I've been in denial about my sleep apnea diagnosis for over 2 years now. I lost 50lbs last year and felt like I didn't need the CPAP machine, so I stopped using it. Recently in the last 6 months my weight has all come back again.
DUUUUUHHHHH!
Don't ya think it's about time to get serious and use your machine, all night, every night (and even when napping).
You may THINK your heart is strong, but it may fail at some point......like during some episodes like you've described.
