I was also told that I would have to bring my machine in to have any changes made to the settings. I don't think there was an instruction book that gave that info. I have the same machine - also no software I guess - and I got the same instructions - and also do not use the heat on the humidifier.

Thanks,

Well, I hate to sound stupid too, but I still don't see where he asked that question. He asked about software and what it was used for - which was answered. But maybe I misread it.

I, and perhaps others, can't answer your question because I don't have your same machine. And I would hate to give you wrong info. Sorry.

I've been asking questions the whole time..

My mouth isn't the dry part and my wife says I am not mouth breathing.. It's my nose.. It feels very dry for the first hour or so I am awake..

Someone did say without the heater being turned on it should get some moisture but I don't think it really is..

Honestly tonight I am going to put the heater on the lowest setting and see how that is.. Worse thing that could happen is I wake up in the middle of the night and can't handle it and I just dump the water out and put fresh water in...

You're right, Spectre. Without the heat turned on, you'll get almost no humidification.

I've been using a heated humidifier for three years. I very rarely dump what's left of the water out. I just keep adding more water (distilled water) each night to bring it back up near the fill line.
