Yeah, I didn't feel too too bad, for a while at least.
Thank you for the words of support.
IDK, I'm using this F 10 cause they said it was the "Best" (the sleep study tech, she was a real nice young lady, witch is important when one has not been feeling well)

But see, she said, the doctor likes to recommend the nose mask. but she said this is better (Full face)
I have to look into the software. I am guessing it sends the info to my phone, via Blue tooth.
I'm sorry you have been having so much trouble,
people might say, well, No Anthony, "You don't understand"
But trust me, I do . It sucks. I feel like I have not been living lately.
don't know where you live, but this winter weather is not helping me either.
I am trying, but it is so hard sometimes, especially being alone.
Thanks for your support. Thanks to all
Anthony

Anthony, you're not alone... we're here and will be til you get yourself sorted out (and beyond). I live alone too, 'cept for my beautiful cat, and in a place new to me by only 7 yrs... without this place, the net, etc. I'd feel pretty bad too, but stop telling yourself how lousy life is and look a bit farther out... maybe someone else has a different problem but one you know how to help with, or maybe there's some free fun laid on by the city. Libraries are free and so are lots of other places and you know what they say about finding love (or whatever, whoever else) when you're least expecting it... you never know!

you are welcome.

we all need support now and then, this is a good place for that.

the only "better" mask is the one that is right for you.

the main reason for a full face mask is if someone mostly breathes through their mouth. i happen to breathe mostly through my mouth and so i use a full face mask.

full face masks are a bit more difficult to seal as they cover more area of the face.

many people do well with a nasal mask or even the nasal pillows if they breathe fine out of their nose. some people have issues with their mouths falling open and air escaping that way, others have no issues at all just using a nasal mask all the time.

the trick with a full face mask is finding one that fits your face well and can stay sealed. one mistake i made a bunch was tightening the mask way too tight. the pillow or cushion of the mask needs to inflate and then it kind of "floats" on your skin. tightening it too tight will bend the cushion and cause leaks, or tilt the mask up or down to far which again causes leaks.

many people have good luck with a mask liner like the padacheek liners, which are custom made cloth liners that cover the silicone cushion and make a barrier between the skin and the mask cushion.

these can often help with getting a good seal as well as prevent skin irritation. the cloth also helps diffuse tiny leaks so they are not as noticeable. i often get a small leak up by my eyes with my F20 full face mask. i've just got some of the padacheek liners for both of my masks, will start trying it tonight on one of the masks.

i've had the most luck thus far with the amara view mask. it is a full face mask, but it does not cover the top part of the nose. it sort of sits right under your nosrils and up on the tip of your nose a bit, then just under your bottom lip. i've had pretty good luck getting a consistent seal with this mask. i've tried about 4 different masks before finding this one and the F20 which also works fairly well for me. the f20 does fit up over your nose, but it does not have a piece that goes up between your eyes and a piece that rests on your forehead. i like that.

i've tried a few other masks that have the top straps connected to a piece that rests against the forehead. i just couldn't get a good seal with those, and they were annoying to leave on all night. other people swear by them and have no issues. again, it's a very personal thing. one mask may be great for one person, terrible for another.

now, as far as the sleephead software, what it does is take the data from your machine...usually captured on an SD card, and allows you to view that data in several useful ways on your computer. i'm not familiar with the machine you have listed, but most data capable CPAP machines have an SD card slot in which you can use a standard SD card (like for a digital camera) depending on the computer you have, you may have an sd reader built in, or may have to use a camera attached with USB to read the card into your computer.

i use a macbook air, it has an SD slot built in, and i have a resmed airsense 10 autoset CPAP. each morning, i just take the sd card from the cpap and load it into my computer and into sleepyhead. sleepyhead then displays the data and i can see how my AHI has been, what my events..ie. apneas, hypopneas, etc. were, my leak rates, and other data.

if you can grab some data for a few nights and upload the screenshots here, people will help you understand what all that data means, and how it can be used to determine the ideal pressure for you.
