First night, no sleep, is this normal?

A chin strap works for some of us to prevent mouth leaks. I just make sure mine is on the front "edge" of my chin so my lower lip is kind of pushed up against my top lip. I tended to make too much saliva with taping.

I had such a hard time learning to sleep with CPAP my Dr. gave me a weeks worth of Ambien. That did help some. I didn't really get to where I could sleep fairly well until I finally found a mask that is comfortable for me (which was about a year later), but you seem to be comfortable with your setup.
