Finally Got things squared away with my DME

Post by RestlessinWoolley » Mon Feb 27, 2017 11:58 pm

I got the most interesting call today from my DME, as they finally got my nasty gram I sent them a week ago, about their lack of customer service and lying to me, and how I never got call back for messages (messages the manager found on the person's desk unanswered)

They asked if I could stop by with my machine so we could talk, and between the location manager and a area manager they will do what they need to fix the pickle they created.

Well after a half hour of discussing what has transpired over the last month and the chaos when I picked up my machine. We tested out the machine and it does appear it might have a small issue but we did a few things, reset the machine and reprogrammed in my prescription. I will be getting my heated hose asap, they pulled a new medium pillow out and gave it to me, tested me with the medium to be sure it didn't leak, and guaranteed to me that at my 6 month mark should I not have one by then and i end up liking it they will get me the F20 when my interval is up. And as for the Resmed machine my doctor on the follow up paperwork didn't put in the prefers Resmed equipment but it did have heated hose.

So anyway they know what's going on and wants to remain my DME at all costs and if I need an ASB or Biosphere with backup they want to be my supplier. I will give them the one last chance at this.

Also was told that on the DreamStation it's not necessary to run the ultra fine filter unless you have allergies, he tried saying that all you needed was the fine filer and leave off the pollen filter but the filter didn't stay so he looked again and went oh, yeah big filter stays the pollen/ non replaceable has to be in. Also was told the DreamStation Asv is launching very soon this month. But agreed if I need a bipap or asv resmed is the way to go and the doctor must require the resmed or the DME just grabs what's in stock.

So I know Pugsy has already shipped me the box of donations and a external heated hose, should anyone need anything that I don't use, let me know and I'll pass it your way.

Rule to others is stand your ground and it's all thanks to this group on clarification of what I could get on Medicare.
