Heated hoses are usually a covered item with insurance. Your DME may have billed you already for the non heated hose separately and insurance might not pay for another hose for 3 months (whatever their replacement allowance period might be for a hose). Even though the machine comes with a hose included...DMEs bill out everything separately so they can get more money.

You don't need a RX to buy a heated hose from cpap.com. You can just order one if you decide to go that way.

Your equipment shows up in the comments section...so you are good to go in that regard.

I might try one more thing before getting a heated hose. I have a wide headstrap that keeps my mouth shut while I sleep. It also makes my head feel like it's about to explode. Any thoughts on where I can get a good headstrap? Not a chinstrap, those aren't strong enough. Needs to be wide headstrap. Thanks.

You might check out WalMart.

Back when I was testing various cheap chin strap ideas with headbands and such I found some that weren't too bad at WalMart.
I also had good luck with a sweatband that I found over in the sports aisle and it was only $1.

Also some people have had good results using one of those ace wraps and you can get various widths in those.
