No prob.. so on closing Sleepyhead while it's stuck in Fullscreen mode, hit ALT-Spacebar . You should see a menu come up. You can minimize to the task bar, or close from there. Unfortunately, doesn't seem that you can make it come out of full screen mode though.sleepychar wrote:Thank you, linuxman!

Oh, and one more thing..you're not perchance on a laptop or using a keyboard that shares the function keys with other functions? It's possible that you need to hit Fn-F11, or similar to actually transmit the F11 keycode to the machine.

on 9.8.1 if you can get the tabs at the top to work, under help - about Sleepyhead, it gives you the location of the data file.

Ok, I may have a solution for you to get out of full screen mode. Try this:
ALT-v DownArrow DownArrow DownArrow Enter . That should take you out of full screen.

Re: SleepyHead frozen after putting it in full screen mode
Char, I think you've been looking for something that doesn't exist. There is no "data" file per se. The data for each user is kept in the profile folder for that user. There are several subfolders in each profile folder which could be considered data files. The subfolders, to some extent, are dependent on the machine and auxiliary equipment that has been used. There is "data" in each of these subfolders. Some of the folders are further subdivided into more subfolders containing more "data". If you wanted to delete the data for a particular user, you would delete that profile folder. However, deleting a user will probably not allow exit from full screen. That seems more a program display instruction than a user data instruction. My guess is you would have better luck saving the data folders and uninstalling the program, but even that might not do it if the instruction for "full screen with SleepyHead" remains somewhere in the registry or elsewhere.
Again, see if you can go to computer settings/system/display/ and advanced if necessary to change the resolution and make the display smaller so you can access the menu at the top of the display, select view, and toggle off the full screen setting.

Jay, my Profiles folder is inside the SleepyheadData-Testing Folder and I think that is what she was looking for earlier. Maybe it is different with the latest version.

The ALT-Spacebar did not work. No menu, nothing... Also, the ALT-v downarrow downarrow downarrow Enter did not work. Sigh...linuxman wrote:Ok, I may have a solution for you to get out of full screen mode. Try this:

So I have found the Profile folder and I see what you are talking about, Jay. I was considering either deleting or re-naming the data, or Profile folder as it turns out, because Pugsy thought if I uninstalled/reinstalled SleepyHead, it might still be necessary to have deleted the "data" file. I did uninstall, as best I could, SleepyHead. SleepyHead did not exist in Program Features or App Features where it could be easily selected and uninstalled. I found and deleted a sleepyhead.exe file and downloaded and reinstalled SleepyHead but the problem has persisted. I am able to use the SleepyHead BrokenGL version at this point but not the regular GL version which has the problem. I'll see if I can follow your direction to change the resolution to make the display smaller so I can access the menu at the top of the display. Actually, I can see the top menu, File, View, etc., but the screen does not respond to any mouse or keyboard commands. Maybe because the system is acting like that is a picture and not the actual functioning program.Jay Aitchsee wrote:If you wanted to delete the data for a particular user, you would delete that profile folder. Jay, I got as far as computer settings, system - then comes Advanced System Settings and I am not sure where to go from there to change the resolution.

Open up the SleepyHead "broken" version you used to get the screen shot and tell me which version it says in the upper left corner.

Re: SleepyHead frozen after putting it in full screen mode
Well, your problem seems a little different. As I recall, when I got stuck, I couldn't access the menu. There really isn't much difference between open and broken gl. so using the one that works and forgetting the other may be the best solution.
So now, how do you get to the frozen screen, by accessing the regular GL? Didn't you delete that? The .exe?
Change the resolution by going to settings/system/display/advanced/ change the resolution from the drop down box.
I have to quit for the night. I see Pugsy is still working, though. Good luck.

The version is SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-2Pugsy wrote:Open up the SleepyHead "broken" version you used to get the screen shot and tell me which version it says in the upper left corner.

I think the Broken GL version that is working for me might be in full screen mode right now. I can't remember what the screen looked like when it was in regular mode. But there are no options in the upper right corner to minimize, maximize or reduce the size of the window, even in the Broken GL version. And I am afraid to try F11 to see if that will get the Broken GL into regular viewing mode because I am afraid it will freeze things up. Even though it appears to be covering the whole screen, the top menu in the Broken GL version, the File, View, etc. options work whereas in the regular GL version, those don't work.
I am tired myself. I have been working on this off and on all day long. I will try one more time to change the resolution and, unless Pugsy can come up with another suggestion, I think I am going to stop for the night. I'll post one more time whether I am able to reduce the resolution and what happens.

Re: SleepyHead frozen after putting it in full screen mode
Let me think on this for a bit.
Part of me wants to start totally over since SleepyHead folders aren't where they are supposed to be.
Remove everything related to SleepyHead and start over with a totally fresh install and let SH direct the files so they go to where they are expected to go.
I don't know where the bug is that is causing the freeze...meaning I don't know which file in SH may be buggy...so all I would know to do is kill them all and start fresh.
Your SD card has your data...so it will just get put back in any new fresh blank SH.
Would be no different than your putting the SD card in a brand new computer with a brand newly installed SH. Everything would be right there.
Oh....are you using the little Sheep Icon to open SH or using a file? If no Sheep...did you ever have a sheep?

Under where it says resolution there is a box where it says 1280 x 800 (Recommended) if you click there you will see the drop down menu.sleepychar wrote:I don't see a drop down box to change the resolution.Jay Aitchsee wrote:Change the resolution by going to settings/system/display/advanced/ change the resolution from the drop down box.
