Unless a person HAS both machines and USES both machines, how would they know which is better?

I have never had dealings with Dreamstation so how could I add my opinion about it...

There is more difference between levels of machines than there is between brands.
Single pressure machines without exhale relief and efficacy data are less effective and less likely to be USED than
FULL DATA, FULL FEATURE AUTOMATIC TITRATING MACHINES. (Sorry, Canadians)
For many of us, sound level is the most significant difference between brands--not an issue with some, more for others.
Also, poor instruction and setup can impact patient satisfaction and therapeutic effectiveness.
This forum exists to provide immediate 24/7 assistance for patients who can not get it elsewhere.
Most of us prefer whatever machine we started with, as we follow our parents in a Ford or Chevy.

I know you come with good intentions, but you could easily do a search on this forum and read the reviews and complaints for yourself, keeping in mind that people are more likely to post complaints than praise.

Your request kind of makes us feel like you are asking us to do your homework for you.

If the above is correct, what you are asking for is for this forum to serve as an ad hoc, uncompensated, focus group. Participants in all valid market research efforts get something for their efforts; if you want real participation - to your benefit only, we get none - perhaps you should structure it differently. Offer something of benefit to the participant that would incentivize them. Following that, structure the questions so that no user of any of the machines is left out - as it stood in your first post, only users of multiple brands could fit. In addition, as was pointed out by Chunkyfrog, "There is more difference between levels of machines than there is between brands" you might open the comparison to include that construct. If you are serious about creating a compendium of information that you and your customers/patients will find useful in aiding decisions, make the results more data-driven and less anecdotal.

With a little effort he could go to cpap.com and read the user reviews on each machine.

This week, kraz claims to be a home care provider.

Last week, kraz claimed to be a user wanting advice on the purchase of a machine - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=115310&p=1117823#p1117823

The week before that he was looking for advice on a modem for his home - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=115174&p=1116307#p1116307

You need to be open and honest in all future posts, kraz.
