I found the f20 felt narrow the first week, Like a shoe, it needs to be broken in to feel right.

Hmmm. I don't think that's a good idea. Correctly calibrated air venting is vital to prevent re-breathing. I wouldn't mess with it with taping over the holes. Find a different mask that doesn't make a noise or get a replacement. There may be a defect with your mask.
