A friend of mine totalled her vehicle and caused herself some back injuries when she fell asleep driving once.

I have only had one scare. fortunately. I was already off the freeway, looking for a safe place to pull over and take a nap. It was a deserted street in an industrial area. I tend to hug a line when I am tired. I strayed enough that my tire rubbed the curb. There was no damage, and I was lucky that nobody witnessed it. It was a scare that taught me a lesson. I had waited too long to pick to an exit and pull over.Now, as soon as I feel or see warning signs, it is the next exit, regardless of where it is.
