Thank you for posting and glad you're doing well, yes I'm glad I found it too. I have been offered so much advice and learned a lot. There will still be much for me to get to grips with I'm sure, but this community has given me the confidence to take control of most aspects of my treatment. Just knowing there are many knowledgeable people here willing to help is very reassuring. I am going to the ResMed centre next Monday so will hopefully return with my new machine, and possibly a new mask, I'm sure I'll be back soon after with some more questions. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to pay-back by helping some forum newbies.hillbilly1979 wrote:I am glad you found this community. I was in the same boat. I was lost and it didn't seem like I was ever going to get relief. This forum helped me get to a point of regular therapy and through their assistance, I ended up buying a mask which has made my therapy so much more comfortable. Good luck. I also use the Sleepyhead software. It is a little difficult to read sometimes for me as well, but the community here is extremely helpful with that as well.

Exactly, control. That is what I am talking about. I feel like I am more in control of my sleep and my health than I ever did before joining. I like my sleep doctor, but doctors today make medicine so secretive. Why not give people the power of information. Information helps people make decisions. Setting my machine and shoving it in a bag for me to take home without knowing anything about it or the settings that were keyed into it just doesn't seem to be in the best interest of the patient.Hannibal 2 wrote:

And if you're on a basic CPAP with no humidifier and no data card (as I have been), it's not until you or your partner notices something is not quite right, that you then talk to your sleep doctor and they eventually do titration and change settings! Very frustrating, definitely time to take control.
