Calling Americans "right wing nuts", deplorable, racist, homophobes, etc. is EXACTLY why Donald Trump got elected. THANK YOU. Keep it up and you guarantee him 8 yrs.

I think we are all Basically Good Americans here who want the best for Our Families and Country.
It's time to put the hateful rhetoric aside and strive to find common ground that we can all agree with.
Our enemies love nothing better than to devide and conquer us.

LSAT -- you are a smart man. You had to have know that another thread, similar to the other two in Oct. and Nov., would incite people once again. You posted a link which essentially said we should all join forces and hope (pray) that the new president will not fail. Do you actually think this thread will help towards that end? This thread is the exact opposite of what your link suggests. SMH!

There are many on this forum that voted for T, but didn't feel the necessity of starting another, "election thread". I don't agree with the political bent of those people, but I surely respect them for not doing what you just did.

Remember Lucy...OT is a warning that the post is unrelated to CPAP. The title warned you what the post was about.....You are a smart woman...You didn't have to read it...Let's MAGA.

Time to undo all the damage Obama has inflicted on us. Which shouldn't be too hard, since so much of it was done via Executive order. Pres. Trump can undo that with his own Exec. orders. And since the American people have given him a Rep. controlled senate and House, he has the support to get it done. Trump will appoint conservative Judges to the Supreme Court. It is time to MAKE AMERICAN GREAT AGAIN!!!

Den, you da man!

I only visit this site occasionally, and typically only read a few posts that might be of interest. And, I generally skip OT threads, as I'm reluctant to offend any of the fine members of this forum.

That said...

This veteran and Dad of 2 in uniform will, with no small amount of pride, be watching the proceedings on TV tomorrow; and I'll be feeling good about the re-direction of our Fine Country.

For all my fellow apnea patients who are Hillary voters and fans? I love ya, I do. And I'm sure that we can still correspond on a friendly basis.

That said...

I'm feeling most positive about tomorrow's inauguration and what it holds for our future.

I didn't want either Hillary or DJT but I can't abide Trump's hateful rhetoric or scary ideas so I voted for Hillary. I do, however, respect the office of President, and I believe in giving him a chance to prove himself. He hasn't yet convinced me, but he deserves that chance. I'm not watching the inauguration events as I won't be home. My wonderful home in Minnesota is typically a blue state so none of us here are very happy, but that's the way the world turns. As the OP said, we have to live with it.

I guessing that an indulgence in political affairs may not be beneficial to your sleep hygiene and may impact your AHI score?

I would once again ask why we can't find it in our hearts to treat each other with respect and work toward finding common ground.
I'm definitely not a liberal by any stretch of the imagination and always considered myself a constitutional conservative.
The American Constitution and bill of rights is what i Believe in. We are all created equal and deserve the same fair and just pursuit of life and liberty.
I could care less about your sexual inclinations as long as your not hurting or forcing yourself on other free individuals.
Live and let live until your actions intrude on my or others Personal rights and liberties.
Don't dictate a lifestyle to me and i won't to you.
Diversity of peaceful different belief is what has made America a great Country. Tolerance for the beliefs of others is very important in keeping the peace between us.
Hate and intolerance really has no place in America.
If we choose that path we are all doomed in the end.
We need to reflect back on our forefathers of democracy and the ideals that made us a great nation.
My greatest fear is that Individuals in our Country are so full of hate , disconnected and closed minded at this point they they refused to listen to the concerns of the other side.
We are all Americans and our Country is actually currently divided about 50/50
We all need to come together and find common ground and work together to better the life of our families and the world.
The continued Hate and disconnect only leads to our demise and ultimate end.
Good Americans Have to see that .

"I would once again ask why we can't find it in our hearts to treat each other with respect..." sounds great, but what do you do when the candidate and PEOTUS does not respect so many others himself?

You follow tradition e. g. treat others the way you would like to be treated are two ways that come to mind.
